"I am the proud president of the National Honor Society here at East Lake. NHS recognizes students who excel in four key areas: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. It has been an honor serving my school and showcasing my leadership skills. This year with the implementation of Leader in Me I have been able to learn the 7 habits of a successful student and apply them to my daily life as a student and member of society. Being an Eagle has prepared me to be a true leader. I had the opportunity of being the master of ceremony at the second Black History Celebration here at East Lake.
