A Message from the Principal

Dear East Lake Elementary Families,

As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to share just how proud we are of our amazing student leaders! 🎉 Throughout the year, our students have worked hard to be proactive, set goals, and lead their own learning. Their growth, resilience, and commitment to doing their best have truly made this year outstanding. We loved watching them find their voices and shine! 💙📚✨

Thank you to our families for partnering with us and supporting your children as they begin with the end in mind and put first things first each day. Together, we continue to build a strong, positive, and empowering school community where everyone can succeed. 🤗

We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer break! ☀️🏖️ This is a great time for students to continue to sharpen the saw: rest, read, explore, and spend meaningful time with family and friends while recharging for the year ahead. 🌿📖

Summer Office Hours:
🗓️ Monday–Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
🗓️ Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Our office team will be available during these times to assist you.

We would also like to extend a very warm welcome to any new families joining the East Lake community!🦅✨ We are excited for you to join a school where we synergize and grow together. Lead with Heart, Embrace Diversity, Inspire Change

  • Leader in Me

    Leader in Me is a school-wide program that helps students build leadership, responsibility, and life skills. Based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, it encourages every child to discover their strengths and become confident, capable leaders—both in school and beyond.

  • Dual Language

    Our Dual Language program supports academic success while helping students become bilingual and bicultural. Classes are taught in both English and Spanish, allowing students to strengthen their first language while learning a second.

  • Safety and Security

    Each one of our public schools has a full-time sworn law enforcement officer serving as a School Resource Officer on campus every day. Deputy Voight is back this year at East Lake!

  • We Embrace CHOICE

    As a Choice District, we allow parents to select the school they want their children to attend, as long as that school has capacity and program availability.

It has been an honor serving my school and showcasing my leadership skills. This year with the implementation of Leader in Me I have been able to learn the 7 habits of a successful student and apply them to my daily life as a student and member of society. Being an Eagle has prepared me to be a true leader. I had the opportunity of being the master of ceremony at the second Black History Celebration here at East Lake. That was a proud moment for me and other members of the Honor Society." -Nazir, Student

"Being in the Dual Language program has equipped me with the skills to be a bilingual student and develop cultural awareness. This helps me build meaningful connections with my peers and community members. Learning two languages boosts my cognitive skills, such as problem-solving and multitasking. The Dual Language program here at East Lake Elementary has helped me to be ready to showcase my abilities and success in a vibrant, globalized society. I plan to continue with my bilingual education as I transition to middle school." -Klaudia, Student

"With support from my teachers and family, I continue to grow and embrace my bilingual abilities. I feel empowered as a leader, and I look forward to serving my community. Being in this program has given me the necessary skills to grow as a bilingual student and prepare for the future. I now have the confidence to help others who are learning English or Spanish, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come in both languages. This program has not only helped me in school, but also taught me the importance of understanding different cultures and perspectives. I love being bilingual and biliterate!" -Martin, Student
